CHACOM is one of the oldest
and one of the most famous
pipe makers in the world.
The story of Chacom began in
1825 in Avignon with the
production of pipes made of
boxwood. Nowadays Chacom
pipes are usually made of briar
wood with annual production of
185 000 pipes. The briar
wood for Chacom pipes
comes mostly from
Corsica and Morocco
and is still dried in the
traditional way (at least 6
months). Even though
Chacom is primarily known for
their innovative and sometimes
revolutionary models, the
production of fancy
pipes is only 20 percent.
Philosophy of the company is
"something for every taste,
whether the customer prefer
fancy pipe models, wants
traditional formed solid pipe for
every day or a high quality
pipe with finest grain and gold
